Food for Fines
Monday, May 11, 2015 (All day) to Thursday, May 28, 2015 (All day)
MHPL will be acting as a drop-off location for the Medicine Hat Youth Action Society’s food drive in support of World Hunger Day on May 28.
For every non-perishable food item you bring, receive $1 off your library fines up to a maximum of $20. Food donations can be used for library fines only - not for lost/damaged library materials, printing or photocopying, or for credit on your library account.
For members in good standing with the library, bring food donations and receive a stamp for your Passport to Knowledge - one stamp per patron per day can be collected.
Some of the items most needed by the Food Bank are noodles, pasta, canned/boxed meals, soup, peanut butter, condiments, canned meats, laundry/dish soap and shampoo/conditioner. Items should be undamaged, fully sealed and not past their expiry date. Note: 4 packages of ramen noodles will count as a single item.
