Probate is the court-supervised process of locating and determining the 
value of a deceased person’s assets, paying that person’s final bills and 
taxes, and then distributing what’s left to the heirs. Learn how to prepare 
your investments for transfer to your loved ones at death to avoid probate.

These programs are presented in partnership with the Medicine Hat College Legal Education Program, 
the Alberta Law Foundation and Medicine Hat Public Library. FREE ADMISSION but ADVANCE
