Lovin' the Library

On Friday, February 9, 2018 bring your love to show us some love for our third annual fundraising gala.

As an early Valentine’s Day date, or just as a fun evening out - you and your sweetheart/friend/family member/business partner will get to mingle in the library after-hours with a drink in hand, great food on your plate, fun activities to keep you entertained, and a live and silent auction where you can bid on unique experience items.

One reason our fundraiser is so unique is because our auction items give the winner an experience they’re not likely to get elsewhere. Examples of past auction items include a private tour of the Suffield Military Base, a plane ride over the Red Rock Coulee, a cruise around the city in classic cars, kayak lessons with a guided paddle on the river, and many more.

Calling all foodies! This sponsorship opportunity will make your stomach growl.

If you’ve ever gotten h-angry then you understand the importance of a good meal. We want to ensure our guests are feeling satiated when it comes time to bid on auction items, so this opportunity is vital to the overall success of our fundraiser.

When considering if this sponsorship opportunity is for you, think back to the best meal you’ve ever eaten. Think about how you felt while you ate that meal. That’s it. That’s what we want to give our guests - “the best thing I ever ate” experience.

For this event, a full transformation of the Library is essential. We pull out all the stops to make this a true gala atmosphere - flowers, fabric draping, mood lighting, table decorations, and cocktail tables for mingling.

We want our guests to be treated to not only good food, drinks, and elegant décor, we also want to give them an experience that they won’t soon forget.

In addition to the décor sponsorship opportunity, we are also open to entertainment sponsorship, and willing to consider your own entertainment sponsorship ideas.

  • promotion of the event on 102.1 CJCY, MY96, CHAT 94.5, in the Medicine Hat News (online and in print) on the CHAT News Today website, and if possible, a CHAT TV on-air interview;
  • boosted post on the Library’s social media to push ticket sales to non-followers;
  • minimum of once per week event posts on the Library’s social media from January 1 until event date, with more frequent posts as event gets nearer (nearly 7,500 followers on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook);
  • your business featured in our monthly newsletter (delivered to more than 9,100 patrons);
  • your business name listed on all event materials (program booklets, signage, handouts, etc.);
  • your logo/business name displayed at various points during the event;
  • announcement of your sponsorship made during remarks by emcee and/or Board Chair;
