The organizer of Medicine Hat Public Library’s annual Comic Con is levelling up the third edition of the popular event, taking place on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
Medicine Hat Public Library Comic Con No. 3 will feature a dedicated Artist Alley for local artists, crafters and creatives to sell their handmade and unique products.
Stephanie Kuhn, youth and community librarian at MHPL and the brain behind our Comic Con, says being able to leave with mementos, collectibles and other goodies is a key feature of major Comic Cons.
“It's one of the most well-attended and looked-forward-to aspects of Comic Cons, if you go to Calgary or Edmonton. I wanted to incorporate that kind of shopping experience in our Comic Con,” says Kuhn.
Anyone interested in having a table in Artist Alley can register here. Tables cost $20 and limited tables are available.
Kuhn says it’s preferrable for Artist Alley vendors to have products related to comics and pop culture fandoms, including movies, television, and gaming.
Details for the day are still being worked on, but Kuhn is hoping to make each year of Library Comic Con bigger and better than the last.
