The performers have been announced and tickets are now on sale for the first two shows in Medicine Hat Public Library’s 2026-27 Home Routes Concert Series.
Ana & Eric kick off the series on Sunday, Sept. 20, followed by Bobby Dove on Tuesday, Oct. 20.
Ana & Eric are a Brazilian duo based in St. John’s, Nfld., known for their unique blend of Brazilian bossa nova and North American indie folk. Their 2023 debut album, “Our House From Here,” along with the singles “I Can See Our House From Here” and “Manhã de Abril,” received acclaim in Brazil, Portugal, and Canada. The album was nominated for Global Recording of the Year at the 2024 ECMA and received three nominations at the 2023 MusicNL Awards.
Bobby Dove is a Montreal-born singer-songwriter and a magnetic presence in the world of country and Americana music. With a voice as powerful as their storytelling, this trans/non-binary troubadour pays tribute to the golden age of honky-tonk, while crafting original, emotionally charged songs that “blend genres with the touch of a master.” (Mary Gauthier) In 2021 Bobby released their sophomore record, “Hopeless Romantic,” co-produced with Blue Rodeo’s Bazil Donovan and Tim Vesely of Rheostatics. The album gained international acclaim and climbed the Canadian Roots and U.S. Alt-Country radio charts.
We have a fantastic theatre space here and these concerts are one way to bring people in and show it off.
There will be one more Home Routes concert here before the end of this year, and more will follow in early 2027.
