New Library Card Sponsor: Elizabeth McNally And Real Estate Collective

Posted on 17 February 2026 by Chris Brown.

Elizabeth McNally and the team at Real Estate Collective are once again celebrating Library Lovers Month by sponsoring library cards at Medicine Hat Public Library and helping keep cards free for the community.

Through the donation of $2,300, library cards will be FREE for 460 adults in Medicine Hat (kids’ cards are always free).

“We don’t just work with the homes and people in Medicine Hat, we love the community too!” McNally says. “We also all love reading, whether for self-improvement or pure enjoyment.”

We asked members of Real Estate Collective what is their favourite thing about Medicine Hat Public Library.

Elizabeth: "Bug town! Programming for kids and teens, and that it originally brought Banff Film fest to the city."

Roxy: "It’s a welcoming community space with great programs for kids and teens."

Candice: "I enjoyed the programs for parents and babies/toddlers when my kids were little. And I love the river views from the large windows!"

Jacquie: "I enjoy the space and atmosphere - reading a book while watching the view. When my kids were little the programs were a great way to spend a morning."

Kelsea: “As an audiobook lover I enjoy the Libby app I use through the Shortgrass Library System. As a parent of a bookworm I love that my daughter is thrilled to spend a day at the library taking out books, playing in the Play Space, drawing on the computers and carefully selecting a stamp at the end of our visit."

This the fifth time McNally and Real Estate Collective have sponsored cards through the library’s A Library Card for Every Hatter campaign, also known as #MHPLforYXH. To learn more about the program and the different ways you can be a sponsor visit our A Library Card for Every Hatter page.
